Classes are designed to improve your overall health and well-being. The tailored program is designed for the prevention and management of chronic health conditions and injuries.
Classes are designed for people who may or may not have joint pain, poor balance, poor motivation, poor muscle tone.
The desired outcome is to improve overall strength, mobility, balance and the ability to complete activities related to daily living. Also learning how to manage your chief complaints.
Independence is an important facet of our everyday lives and our classes are designed to assist the maintenance of independence for as long as possible, especially if you are a career looking after someone at home.
The group classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am and 10am, with a maximum of 8 participants, at our Sunshine Coast Health Services Clinic located in Lakeshore Avenue Buderim QLD 4556.
An initial assessment is essential in order to discuss informed consent, your health history, chief complaints, present illness and goal setting before joining one of our group exercise physiology classes. Kerrie will discuss with you the class best suited to your individual needs.
Pilates caters for everyone, from beginner to advanced. You can perform exercises using your own body weight or with the help of various pieces of equipment. Each exercise is performed with attention to proper breathing techniques and abdominal muscle control. Pilates lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. It improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness. Pilates can be either aerobic or non-aerobic. Concentration and focus is required as your body moves through a precise range of motion.
